The Marquis II has always stayed true to it’s identity as a neighborhood bar. Located in the City of West University, The Marquis II has been at it’s current location since 1985. They claim to be the original sports lounge. Going in to this place, you definitely need to understand that this a hole in the wall. And most importantly, this is an inside smoking bar. Don't come here if secondhand smoke bothers you.

Whether you want a great spot to watch the game or just relax with friends, The Marquis II is a good destination. They have daily drink specials and arguably the best jukebox in Houston, but everybody comes out for one thing: The Texas Tea. With 15 different flavors, the Texas Tea has been its signature drink for over three decades. Whether you live in Houston or are just passing through, stopping by and trying a Texas Tea is on everybody’s “to do” list.
